She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Thompson and Ogilvie Thompson; her former husband Bill Johnston; her daughter Shirley; her husband Elmer Taylor; her son Alan; her stepson Harvey; her siblings, Edna, Verna, Dorothy and Roy; and her great grandchild Shannon.
She is survived by: her children, Allan, Wayne Johnston (Loni), Sharon Johnston and Edith Johnston (Stan); her stepchildren, Marion Taylor, David Taylor (Andrea) and Kathleen Sanderson (Jim); and her daughter-in-law Tressie Johnston. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great grandchildren, 3 great- great-great grandchildren.
