With solemn reverence, we commemorate James Joseph Mulligan (Portage la Prairie, Manitoba), born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, whose life came to an end on April 12, 2025 at the age of 98, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his wife Helen "Elma" Anderson (Elma); his parents, James and Bridget; his siblings, Bobby, Terry and Maureen; his parents-in-law, Betty and Archbold Anderson; and his brothers-in-law, Doig (Helen), Bob (Mickey) and Walter.
He is survived by: his children, Dan (Ria), Joe (Marilyn), Mickey Cuthbert, Diane Davis (Al), Bob (Kelley), Roy (Carrie), Ruth and Barb (Shelley); and his grandchildren, Keith, David, Guy (Jess), Michael (Megan), Erin (Joel), Kyle (Erin), Greig (Colleen), Karalyn (Clifford), Heather, Jeff, Shane (Crystal), Ryan (Brittany), Mark (Chelsea), Kurt, Ben (Sarah), Nick (Hayley), Amy (Jake) and Julie (Mike). He is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren, 5 nieces, 1 nephew and many, many cousins.
A prayer will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel (56 Royal Rd S, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N1T6). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church (1125 E Saskatchewan Ave, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N3Y8). A burial will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at the Good Shepherd Parish (1125 E Saskatchewan Ave, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N3Y8).
