She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvira Baptiste and Osley Baptiste; and her brother Ezekiel Baptiste of Trinidad. She is survived by: her husband Willem Bruinooge; her stepchildren, Aleesha of Portage and Prairie; her sisters, Anna and Roseanna of St. Vincent; her sister-in-law Diane Baptiste of Curepe; and also Natasha Hoodspith of Parksville. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has designated the First Presbyterian Church Soup Kitchen (17 Royal Rd S, Portage La Prairie, MB, R1N 1T8) for memorial contributions.
