He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Swayda and Lucille Swayda; his in-laws, Henry and Frieda Lowenberger; and his brothers, Garry and Darwin Swayda.
He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Rhonda Swayda (Trevor) of Winnipeg and Dean Swayda (Phyllis) of Regina, SK; his grandchildren, Stefanija, Josef, Sofija, Ben and Will; and his extended family, Ursula and Ken Tebb (family: Gisela Goodman, Elfie, Bart Hall, James Swayda).
