He was predeceased by: his son Dennis; his parents, Kathleen Thompson and Erwin Thompson; his grandparents, Laura, Douglas Shackell, Janet and Joe Thompson; his brother-in-law Richard Blake; and his nephew Richard Blake.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his son Doug; his grandchildren, Adam and Charlotte; his sister Linda Blake; and his nephew Robert Metcalfe. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
