He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Payette and Eva "Amanda" Payette; his wife Delia; and his siblings, Ruth Dack (Ed), Kathleen Borley (Cliff), Margaret Huddlestone (Wilfred), Maria Buck (John), Ida Smith (Norman), Martin (Florence), Damus (Mary), Maurice (Ila) and Robert (Rose-Anne).

He is survived by: his children, Charlene Hadley (Bob), Shelley Carmichael (Doug) and Murray Payette; his grandchildren, Patti Walker (Chris), Chris Hadley, Brendan Carmichael (Lisa Foster), Tyne Carmichael (Nathan Peto), Hilary Carmichael (Drew Dutka), Christian Payette and Sebastian Payette; and his great grandchildren, Emily, Sophie Walker, Jayla, Brynnique, Grayson Hadley, Noah and Henry Peto. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
