It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cassidy Riel Mecas (Portage la Prairie, Manitoba), who passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 29, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Kevin Mecas; and his grandparents, Oriele, Campbell Mecas and Doreen Meeches. He is survived by: his mother Tamara Meeches (Sydney Longclaws); his children, Kaystin and Cianna; his siblings, Joshua Daniels, Natasha Daniels, Kyrin Shingoose, Shastin Meeches and Kyle Cook; and his grandfather Joe Myran. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
