He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander (Buster) and Evelyn; and his siblings, Ken (Marge), Buck (Valerie), Faye Mansell and Ray.

He is survived by: his wife Sally Norrie (Solange); his children, Jim (Lori), Cindy (Cameron) and Lyle (Tanis); his great grandchild Scottie-Layne; his brother Gord (Sharon); his brother-in-law Larry Mansell; and his sister Labossiere.
