He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Ashley Schlag; his parents, Ernie Pope and Jerry Pope; and his siblings-in-law, Nora, Mel Johnston and David Jessop.

He is survived by: his wife Noreen; his children, Blair Pope (Sandra) and Nicole Schlag (Graham); his grandchildren, Madison Schlag (Braydon), Kristi Monnet (Mike) and Gage Pope (Erin); his brother Richard Pope (Connie); and his sister-in-law Ruth Calci (Guy). He is also survived by his nephews, nieces and cousins.
