He is survived by: his wife Noreen Defer; his children, Steven Defer (Nancy), Russell Defer (Shannon), Marnie Brost (Dan) and Brenda Defer (Alan); his siblings, Henry Defer, Edna Tippett, Ericka Martin and Anne Meckling; and his siblings-in-law, Victor Warkentin, Nancy Defer, Lucille Lesage (Joe) and Evelyn Rheault (Andy). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
