He was predeceased by: his sons, Larry Swain and Raymond Swain; and his grandson Garnet Reid. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Swain; and his children, Ronald Swain, Rena Swain, Sally Reid (Sean Reid), Cindy Swain (Bruce Stenning), Susan Swain (Larry Kinnear) and Diane Swain (Gary Dyson). He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the family will be laying John to rest privately.
