He was predeceased by: his daughter Jacqueline Robitaille; his parents, Pierre Berard and Marie; his siblings, Jean (Louise), Helene Ross (Edmond), Marie Brunel (Leon), Firmin (Élodie), Jeannette Ross (Yvon) and Raymond (Raymonde); and his brothers-in-law, Joseph Sibilleau, Frank Brouze and Paul Yarjau.
He is survived by: his wife Yolande; his children, Diane Lafrenière (Émilien), Richard (Darlene), Roland, Lorraine Vigier (Lucien) and Michel (Colleen); his son-in-law Marcel Robitaille; his grandchildren, Christiane (Brent), Ron (Bev), José (Jerry), Dean (Marianne), Leanne (Dean), Geoffrey (Layna), Kevin (Angela), Lynn (Jill), Monique (Trevor), Philip (Stacey), Cherilyne (Josh), Daniel (Natalie), Sophie, Jolyn (Mitch), Justin and Jessica; his sisters, Angèle Sibilleau, Madeleine Brouze and Yvette Yarjau; and his brother-in-law Donat Lesage. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
