She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Higgins; her son Garry Higgins; her parents, Frank Rainkie and Annie Rainkie; and her siblings, Henry, Mervin, Leonard and Eva Carruthers.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Kennedy (Murray Gilmer), Heather (late Mervin Law) and Trudy (Allen Butterfield); her grandchildren, Darcy (Christina Law), Tracy (Darcy Mitchler), Marcy (Neil Whelpton), Pam (Mark Vandepoele), Tanya (Brian Hedley), Kirk Kennedy, Kendra (Ren Bouchard) and Duane (Odile Butterfield); and her sisters, Elsie Hockins and Jeannie Quenelle.
