She was predeceased by: her husband Peter; her brothers, Walter and Hank; her siblings-in-law, Helen and Peter Martens; and her parents, Reverend Nicolaus and Helene Unruh.

She is survived by: her children, Robert (Carolynne), Richard (Susan), Monica (Doug) and Marilyn; her grandchildren, Michael (Wendy), Allan (Michelle), Jonathan (Kim), Brent, Laura, Paul (Ana), Ashley (Michael) and Victoria; her great grandchildren, Aaron, Madelyn, Jack, Sam, Stella and Olivia; her siblings, Maggie Martens and Hugo (Carol); her sister-in-law Frieda Wall (George); and her pets, Sheba, Smokey, Hawaii and B. C..
