With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Helen (Toews) Braun (Morden, Manitoba), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Helen left this world on January 2, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob R Toews and Helen Toews (Hiebert); her husband John C Braun; her parents-in-law, Cornelius C and Agatha Braun (Funk); her siblings, Neil Toews, Mary Unger, Eva Toews, Elly Missirlis, Margaret Toews and John Toews; and her in-laws, Ron Unger, Horst Scholz, Keith Lewis, Isaac, Helen Braun and George Regehr.
She is survived by: her children, John Richard (Anne Friesen) and Joanne (Norman Unrau); her grandchildren, Emily (Dillon Unrau-Poetker), Catherine and Ethan (Tess Landry); her sisters, Cathy Kehler (Abe), Frieda Toews and Bertha Lewis; and her siblings-in-law, Sarah Regehr, Susan Hall and Stellios Missirlis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wiebe Funeral Chapel - Morden (1050 Thornhill St, Morden, MB R6M1J9). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Morden Mennonite Church (363 Gilmour St, Morden, MB R6M1M5). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
