He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey and Violet; and his brother Ronnie. He is survived by: his children, Marlee (Alexander) and Michael (Nikki); his sisters, Debbie (Guy), Bonny (John) and Sherry; his sister-in-law Debbie; his friend Tom; and also Dennis (Bonnie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Garry's memory to the Boundary Trails Health Centre Foundation, designated to Palliative Care.
