He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bateman and Nellie Bateman (Wheelans); his brother Robert; and his brother-in-law Art Lepensee. He is survived by: his siblings, Pat Lepensee, Jim (Betty), AB, Doll (Red) and Larry Bateman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, special friends and cousins.
