She is survived by: her husband Joao; her children, Alda Calheiros, Nelia Goncalves (Tony) and Emanuel Machado (JoAnn); her grandchildren, Helder, Carla, Jennifer Calheiros (Victor), Marcio Goncalves (Steven), Bruno Goncalves (Ainslie), Breanna Machado and Julien Machado; her great grandchildren, Andreas, Milano, Persia and Adriano; her sister Conceicao Correia; and her friend Luis Sousa.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes everyone to honour Mom's spirit by remembering to love, cherish and care for their loved ones, as she did.
