He is survived by: his wife Sylvia; his children, Daniel Balcaen (Natasha), Katherine Kubik (Kyle), David Balcaen (Tiffanie) and Melanie Balcaen (Dominic Dumesnil); his grandchildren, Zachary Balcaen, Allison Balcaen, Tyler Balcaen, Elizabeth Balcaen and Austin Kubik; and his siblings, Reynold Balcaen (Marion), Bernard Balcaen (Solange), Ghislaine Marynowski and Marielle Wiebe (Henry).
