Lloyd Mctaggart wrote a sympathy message

“I had the pleasure of meeting Stew many years ago in La Riviere where he was performing with his band. I was invited up on the stage to play a few songs with him and I was very impressed with his singing and playing skills. Above all else, he was a true "country gentleman" and it was easy to tell that it came naturally to him. He provided a lot of entertainment for many people over the years. What a great person he was; he will be missed. - Lloyd McTaggart, formerly of Crystal City.”
