He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Klassen and Helen Klassen; his granddaughter Kylie Neustaedter; his sons-in-law, Cornie Thiessen and Howard Mills; his grandson Kevin Thiessen; his sister-in-law Esther Klassen; and his foster son Amik Razzak.

He is survived by: his child Beverly; his wife Susan Klassen; his children, Robert and Bev (Tom); his grandchildren, Jordan, Steve, Kendra, Duncan and Hailey; his daughter Gloria (Adam); his grandchildren, Hayden, Sierra, Trisha and Tim; his daughter Lynda (Maurice); his grandchildren, Ayesha, Halla, Kiora and Neveah; his daughter Terri; his grandson Steven; his great grandchildren, Sage and Kayden; and his siblings, John (Shirley), Art (Kathy), Willie (Lenore), Abe (Kathy), Rita (Ron) and Carol (Russel).
