He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter F. Loewen and Catherine. He is survived by: his wife Jean; his former wife Mavis; his stepsons, Leon Hanlan (Krista), Chad Hanlan and Brent Hanlan (Leanne); and his grandchildren, Angela Wery (Scott), Ashley Dickson (Baruch), Dustin Loewen (Ardice), Kayla Wiebe (Ivo), Jordyn Chaudouet, Dominyk Loewen, Drayton Loewen, Auzzie Loewen, Jana Loewen, Alex Joyal (Anna), Taylor Joyal, Natalia Ewanchuk, Nicholas Ewanchuk, Dylan Hanlan, Hunter Hanlan, Avery Hanlan and Beau Hanlan. He is also survived by his nine children, three daughters, six sons, two sisters, 18 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel (162 MB-52, Steinbach, MB R5G1Y1).
