It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cornie Goertzen of La Broquerie, Manitoba, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, who passed away on January 10, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Goertzen and Maria Goertzen; and his grandson Steffan Goertzen. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Thiessen; his children, Robert (Monica Goertzen), Markus Goertzen (Erika Goertzen), Rhonda Goertzen Stobbe (James Stobbe), Alethea Stobbe (Jeff Martin), Blayne, Emily Stobbe-Wiebe, Jamie, Florence, Chaysten Stobbe, Asia Gilbert, Randy, Shelley Goertzen, Tobi Goertzen, Sione Manu, Piper, Peyton, Bodie, Brett Goertzen, Ron (Martha Goertzen), Griffin, Jaela, Mikayla, Kendall Reimer, Elyana (Elizabeth), Janaya, Jesse Plett (Christine Goertzen), Judah (Rose), Angeleah Goertzen, Jolannah Goertzen, Chris Goertzen, Annalee Schellenberg, Otto Goertzen (Naomi Goertzen) and Frank Goertzen; and his siblings, Martha Rempel, Peter Goertzen (Marilyn) and Anna Arlt. He is also survived by seven sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law.
