He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hildebrandt and Maria Hildebrandt; and his brothers, Henry, Herman, Deidrich and Jake.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Heppner, Hilda Kehler, Elsie Loewen (Curtis) and Lynn Barkman (Ron); and his sisters-in-law, Tina Friesen and Lena Hildebrand. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
