He was predeceased by: his former wife Nancy; and his siblings, Anne and Peter. He is survived by: his wife Mary Maruschak; his children, Michael Jr. (Rena), Chico, Michelle and Andrew; his stepchildren, Franklin Desjarlais (Brenda), Valerie Desjarlais (Pierre) and Darren Desjarlais (Sharon); and his sister Mary. He is also survived by great grandchildren; grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
