He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Maria; his siblings, Olga, Matt, Nick, Walter and Elizabeth; his wife Louise; his children, Linda (Jerry), Garth, Darrin and Grant (Ana); and also, Dymetro, Olga and Matt. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Among his biggest disappointments in recent years was the pandemic when he wasn't allowed to play.
