It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frances Schmidt (Gladstone, Manitoba), who passed away on March 10, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Anna Buschau and Fred Buschau; and her children, Kurt, Kenneth (Adrene), Faye, Russell (Elizabeth), Donald (Debbie), Leona (Todd) and David (Christine). She was also cherished by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She supported many charities through her donations of handicrafts. This included sewing literally hundreds of quilts for numerous charities including the Lutheran World Relief, Lutheran Urban Ministry, the Children's Hospital Foundation and the Victoria Quilts for Cancer patients.
