He was predeceased by: his parents, William Christie Mortimer and Mae Elizabeth Mortimer; his siblings, Norman (Marion), Patricia and Mary; his wife Hazel Agnes Mortimer; and his daughter-in-law Josette.

He is survived by: his children, William (Monika) of Sindelfingen Germany, Gordon, Carol (Terry) and Alanna (Daniel) of Winnipeg Manitoba; his grandchildren, Christopher, Peter, Thomas, Dylan, Lee Ann of Jayme, TJ, Carly, Mia, Garrett, Kara and Jared; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Avery, Lennon, Hazel, Ivy, Talia, Ellie and Sophia.
