He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Oberick and Olga Oberick; and his grandson Dylan. He is survived by: his wife Doreen; his sons, Shawn, Cory (Karleigh) and Kyle; his grandson Trent; and his siblings, Ron (Linda), Wayne (Angel) and Pat (Robert). He is also survived by in-laws and many nephews and nieces.
