He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Nelson and Kate Nelson; and his siblings, Ken, Dave and Freda.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Nelson of Milton, ON, Bonnie-Ann Geertsema (Gary) of Bradford, ON, Brenda-Kim Chambers of Brampton, ON and Amanda McIntyre; his grandchildren, Michael (Carly), Shaun, Cameron, Tyler and Myla; and his great grandchild Breanna.
