We are sad to announce that on June 19, 2023, at the age of 92, Helen Smart in Douglas, Manitoba passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roland Smart; her parents, Fred Tomiuk and Anna Tomiuk; her parents-in-law, Percy and Iris Smart (Roland); her son Edward; her son-in-law Jack Hart; and her great grandchild Ayden Willerton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth Paton (George) and Gloria Smart; her grandchildren, Kim, Brent Paton, Jennifer Enns (Kevin), Patti Carlson (Ryan), Jacqueline Bellisle (Chris), Pam Myhill, Jonathan McDonald and Andrea Wallace (Chris); her sister Verna Pokolinski (Andy); her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Tomiuk and Gail Tomiuk; and her siblings, Jerry Tomiuk (Jessie), Olga Oppelt (Joesph), Daniel Tomiuk (Helen), Doris Poseluzny (Nick), Edward Tomiuk, Irene Yakowchuk (Orest), Joyce Grausdin (Wally), Dennis Tomiuk and Lawrence Tomiuk. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
