Katherine Demkiw Basaraba Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Katherine Demkiw Basaraba (Dauphin, Manitoba), who passed away at the age of 99, on October 31, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha and Julian; her daughter Jeannie; her former husband Walter Demkiw; her husband Steve Basaraba; and her siblings, Margaret, Olga and John.

She is survived by: her children, Bob, Olga Saramaga (Stan), John Demkiw (Connie) and Eugene Demkiw (Angeline); and her sisters, Elsie, Ann, Mary and Cecilia. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.

Due to Covid-19 a private funeral service took place followed by Interment in the Riverside Cemetery.

Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Katherine may be made to Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. George in Dauphin.
