He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Frykas and Annie Frykas (Bilinski); his brother Victor Frykas; his father-in-law Michael Hlady; his daughter-in-law Lori Frykas; his brothers-in-law, Nick Storozuk, Bill Wozny, John Bourdin and Ernie Hlady; and his niece Angeline Young.

He is survived by: his wife Anne Hlady; his children, Ron of Dauphin, MB and Carole of Dauphin, MB; his mother-in-law Lydia Hlady of Dauphin, MB; his grandchildren, Derrick Anderson of Big Lake, Nicholas Anderson of Winnipeg, MB, Marie, Jessica and Jamie Frykas; his great grandchild Xander Dykun of Dauphin, MB; his siblings, Jean Storozuk of Hamilton, ON, Nadine Bobinski of Red Lake, Alice Sparrow of Camrose, AB, Darlene Bourdin of Dauphin, MB, Pat Wozny of Dauphin, MB and Gary Frykas of Winnipeg, MB; and his sisters-in-law, Marge Los of Winnipeg, MB, Marcie Synkiw of Winnipeg, MB, Pat Seniuk of Ethelbert, MB, Debbie Frykas of Winnipeg, MB, Ann Hlady of Dauphin, MB and Sylvia Frykas of Gilbert Plains, MB. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
