He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Nakonechny and Pauline Nakonechny; his parents-in-law, Vic and Vi Dawson; his siblings, Ed Nakonechny and Florence; his brother-in-law Paul Gingera; his nephew Perry Nakonechny; and his great-nephews, Tyler and Brian Nakonechny.
He is survived by: his son Brett of Brandon; his wife Janet; his brother David Nakonechny (Shirley) of Dauphin; and his sisters-in-law, Nettie Nakonechny of Dauphin and Sharon Arndt (Rainer) of Winnipeg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
