He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto and Eleanor; and his sisters, Charlotte and Marie. He is survived by: his wife Hilda; his children, Maxine, Melody (Smokin-Joe) and Caitlin; his grandchildren, Kahlila and Michelle; and his siblings, Paul, Carl, Lorraine, Armella and Anna.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been opened at he TD Bank in Dauphin.
