Ruth Darlene Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Darlene Smith (Brandon, Manitoba), who passed away on February 7, 2022 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Danny Smith; and her stepfather Alf Goodall. She is survived by: her mother Ethel Goodall of Winnipeg; her siblings, Rick Smith (Carol Clifford-Smith) of Bolton, ON and Rae Smith (Brent White) of Brandon, MB.; her nieces and nephews, Dave Brown (Nicole Rosen), Joelle Brown, Bobby Brown, Kevin Brown (Danni), Karen MacArthur, Erin Brennan, Kaitlyn White (Bas Nundu) and Meghan Partridge (Jake); her stepsiblings, Jan Foreman (Gord), Alf Goodall (Susan), Robert Goodall (Judy), Bruce Goodall (late Gwen) and Terry Goodall (Sandy); and her sister Robbie Brown (Charlie) of Winnipeg. She is also survived by niece Kaitlyn's children.
Despite the challenges of relocating to a personal care home during COVID-19, Ruth managed to enjoy some recreational activities and a few outings to her sister Rae's home, where she enjoyed drinking Caesars by the pool, and delighted in the noise and activities of niece Kaitlyn's children, and the quieter connections with her older greatnieces and nephew.
Donations in memory of Ruth may be made to any "special needs" charity of choice.
