He was predeceased by: his father Ted Blake; his niece Melaine Thibeault; his nephew Gavin Lamirante; and his pet Maverick. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Blake; his sons, Daryl Blake of Ontario and Scott Blake of Alberta; his daughter-in-law Angela Pickett; his grandchildren, Cassidy of Brandon, Michael of Brandon and Jessica of Brandon; his mother Theresa Blake of Mattawa; and his siblings, Nancy (Dale Thibeault) of Deep River, Donna of Mattawa, Darlene (Dale Edmonds) of Hamilton, Mike (Donna Meilleur) of Mattawa and Sharon (Mike Gee) of Calgary.
