She was predeceased by: her parents, Lavinia Owen and Gilbert Owen; and her daughter Valerie (Alvin). She is survived by: her husband Alvin Thorgeirson; her children, Vivian (Bill) and Alan (Sophy); her grandchildren, Karen (Bruce), Marshall, Clayton (Nicole), Travis (Kate), Maxwell, Ben (Michelle) and Miranda (Andrew); and her great grandchildren, Liam, Annika, Mya, Haley and Luke.
