He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hanly (Leslie) and Rosetta Viola Hanly; his former wife Elizabeth; his brother Robert Hanly; and his pets, Silver, Tiger, Fatboy, Muffet and Magic.
He is survived by: his wife Sonia; his children, David, Sean, Diane (Martin), Adrienne, Sylvester, Jason and Damon (Rebecca); his stepdaughter Katrina (Sheryl); his grandchildren, Harrison and Rosemary; and his niece Patricia Hanly.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre (330 18th St N, Brandon, MB R7A7P3).
