He was predeceased by: his parents, Murdo Murray and Edythe Murray; and his siblings, Lennox, Walter, Mavis Curtis and Martha.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Lana Murray (Dwayne Biech), Wanda Heron, Donald and Donalda Svarc (Paul); his sisters, Hazel Brunt and Alene Welch; and his sister-in-law Nancy Murray. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
