He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Garlick and Olive Garlick; his wife Diane; and his parents-in-law, Gladys and Cyril Taylor.
He is survived by: his family Diane; his children, Debbie McCharles (Daryl) and Jim Garlick (Lora); his grandchildren, Chad McCharles (Dawn), Sarah Ferguson (Dan), Jessica Jury (Mike), D. J. McCharles (Sydney) and Liam Garlick (Maddy); his great grandchildren, Jacob, Amy, Bowie, Berkley, Tryss, Lawsyn and Blayke; his brother Glen Garlick (Cheryl); and his in-laws, Tom Taylor (Janice), Doug Taylor (Cindy), Jim Taylor (Marilyn), Shirley Murray (John) and Barb Brown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
