He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Doerksen and Elizabeth Doerksen; his brothers, Elmer and Harvey Doerksen; and his grandson Travis.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Doerksen; his sons, Mike Doerksen, Steven Doerksen (Frieda), Mark Doerksen (Alice) and Kevin Doerksen; his grandchildren, Madison Doerksen, Taitum Doerksen and Kingston Doerksen; and his sisters, Elaine Gendron and Linda Kornelson.

Donations in memory of Robert may be made to Birchwood Funeral Chapel to help assist the family with funeral expences.
