He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Plett and Peter Plett; his siblings, Elma, Menno and Margaret; his grandson Daniel; his son Lawrence; and his son-in-law Menno.
He is survived by: his family Blumenort; and his siblings, Helen, Mary, Betty, Adina and David. He is also survived by six children, 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
