He was predeceased by: his parents, Vinton Buchanan and Edna Buchanan; his siblings, Mary (Gordon Smith) and Norman Buchanan; his brother-in-law Ed Loomis; his niece Sheryl Loomis; his parents-in-law, Theresa and Louis Bokor; his sister-in-law Audrey Bokor; and his grandson David.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Buchanan (Bokor); his daughters, Kari Haakman (Mark) of Winnipeg and Lori Buchanan of Austin; and his sisters, Jean Milton (Barry) of Vancouver, Bea Jarvis (Al) of Pinawa, Pearl Hogarth (Norman) of Neepawa and Laura Loomis of Gladstone.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Plains Cancer Care, or Seven Regions Palliative Care.
