He was predeceased by: his brother Irvin; his parents, Tena and Dietrich; his stepmother Katharina; his sister Evelyn; his stepsiblings, Mary and Ed; and his grandson Robert Styan.
He is survived by: his wife Sally; his children, Richard Funk (Sharon), Jean Ritter, Ron Funk (Bev), Laurel Rudolph (John), Murray Funk (Robyn) and Myra Moule; and his stepsiblings, Dave, Art Stoesz (Betty), Kathy Dyck (John) and Helen Dueck.
