He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhard Dueck and Elisabeth Dueck; and his siblings, Maria, Sara Zacharias (Peter), Mary Jeffery (Harold), Kay Curry, Eva Kehler (Ben), Gerhard, Peter, George (Myrtle), Henry (Olivia), Diedrich (BettyAnn) and John.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Dueck (Stoesz) of Altona; his daughter Gail Sawatzky (John); his granddaughter Joni Fuchsmeier (Andi); his son Brad Dueck (Phyllis); his granddaughter Sharlyn Durston (Shea); his great grandchildren, Taylor, Caleb, Madison and Emily; his grandson Justin Dueck (Larissa); his great grandchildren, Jayme and Micah; his grandson Eric Dueck (Evelyn); his sister Elisabeth Giesbrecht; and his sisters-in-law, Esther Dueck and Mary Dueck. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
