It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Margarethe Heinrichs in Altona, Manitoba, born in Herschel, Saskatchewan, who passed away on December 27, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Debra (Stan Bartel), Bob (Judy) and Jennifer; her niece Trish St. Onge (Marcel); her grandchildren, Sara Bartel (Ryan Currie), Jeffrey (Elizabeth Schowalter) and Mark (Rachel Wise); her great grandchild Wesley Heinrichs; her great-nephews, Joseph (Amelie Fitzgerald-Garant), Anthony and Kristian St. Onge; her husband Wes; and her parents, Bernhard Sawatzky and Margarethe Sawatzky (Fast). She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
