He was predeceased by: his parents, Hernando Sr. Canete and Josefina Tecson Canete; his former wife Lisa Tomboc; and his brother Jovito Canete. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Marie Canete (Evans); his daughters, Laura Beth Canete and Robin Leslie Bosnick; his son-in-law Jonathan George Bosnick; his daughters, Jan Beverly Canete and Josephine Anne Canete; his grandchildren, Raven Campbell (Rashad), Sierra Bellamy (Deedee), Victoria Mathis, Mila Elizabeth and Samantha Jane Bosnick; his great grandchildren, Rashad, Rian, Reagan and Reese Campbell; his grandchildren, Drew Mianne Bellamy, Savanna James and Sean James III; and his siblings, Hernando Jr. Canete (Maria Cecilia), Angelina Abad (Francisco), Teresita Unabia, Leopold Canete, Eduardo Canete and Galileo Canete (Cynthia).
