She was predeceased by: her father Jacob Peters. She is survived by: her mother Karen Peters; her husband William Cuncannon; her children, Arthur, Colin Cuncannon and Helena Cuncannon; her father-in-law Lee Snider; her brother Dana Peters; her sister-in-law Lorraine Peters; and her sister Dawn Peters. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Serena's name to Brookhaven Care Centre for their unwavering, professional commitment to palliative care.
