He is survived by : his children, Kristen Doran and John Alexander; his son-in-law Simon Doran; his grandchildren, Rory and Katie Doran; his sisters, Joan (Joe Chacko), Daphne (Robert Bickford) and Ann (Dave Gilliland); and also Karen Diane Alexander. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the First Metropolitan Church (932 Balmoral Rd, Victoria, BC V8T1A8). A reception will be held on Saturday, August 10th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Uplands Golf Course (3300 Cadboro Bay Rd, Victoria, BC V8R5K5).
